Tour description

The popularity of the Hardanger Cider is continuously reaching new heights and products are now even being internationally recognized.
On the cider tasting at Syse Gard fruit farm, you will taste 4 typical local ciders, combined with traditional local food. The ciders are from different types of apples which give a different taste picture. This is combined with cured meats and jams produced on the farm from home-grown ingredients, and cheese from the region. This means that you can get a lot of the local food culture served in a product.

Tasting plank

  • Salted, smoked and aged lamb meat
  • Cured lamb sausage
  • Plum jam grown on the farm
  • Cheese from the region
  • Traditional apple cake with ice cream: the tartness of the apple in combination with the sweetness of the ice cream creates an exciting and blanched dessert. Served with apple jam.
You will also have time to visit the farm shop selling products from the farm, in case you want to bring some of the precious drops back home to share with friends and family!
After a tasty hour on the farm, you take a leisurely stroll back down to Ulvik center. You will walk through sweet-smelling orchards while enjoying fabulous views of the beautiful Hardangerfjord.
