Tour description

Set off on an adventure into the total darkness of the Arctic fjords and Polar nights. The cruise departs from Tromsø and sets sail in the direction where the clearest weather conditions for the night are predicted. This could be north towards the areas of Kvaløyvågen, south to Ramfjorden, or west along the southern part of Kvaløya island.
The captain and crew will work together and keep their eyes out for clear skies or a gap in the cloud layer. While we wait for the Northern Lights to appear, you can stay warm and comfortable in the heated lounges. Grab a beverage from the cafe and a snack.
Throughout the evening your guides will share their knowledge and personal stories of the Northern Lights, from mythical tales around the world to the scientific explanations. When we are fortunate enough to spot the Northern Lights, we can put on our warm clothes and go outside to admire Lady Aurora in the night sky. Some nights she shines brightly and dances with different colors, while on other nights she is a bit shy and only faintly visible or not visible at all.
On the way back, you will get a fantastic view of Tromsø skyline and the famous Arctic Cathedral visible from the water.
