Some say that standing on the mountain plateau of Finnmarksvidda feels like reaching the end of the world, and that’s exactly where you go on this thrilling adventure. Driving a snowmobile is both easy and fun, offering an incredible way to connect directly with the raw beauty of Arctic nature.
Tour description
After you are picked up, you will be provided with warm outdoor clothing and all necessary gear. You'll receive a detailed overview of the day's plans and a thorough safety briefing. You can also store any items you won’t need for the tour before departure.
Next, you and your guide will drive to the location where the snowmobiles are parked, approximately 30 minutes from Alta. Before the tour begins, you'll receive instructions and a practical demonstration on how to operate the snowmobile.
You’ll drive in pairs (one driver and one passenger per snowmobile), with the option to switch places during the tour.
There will be several stops along the way to take photos of the stunning landscape, and your guide will gladly share insights into the area's history. Warm beverages and snacks will also be provided.
