The fishing tour often result in catching enough fish to make a delicious meal that can include anything from boiled crabs and fish soup to barbecued mackerel fillets. The menu of the day will depend on the day's catch, making every tour a unique and exciting experience.
Tour description
The tour starts outside Bergen Tourist information, where your guide will pick you up and drive you to the local islet Syltøy in Øygarden - a scenic 30-35 minute drive.
Once you arrive at the base in Syltøy, you will be provided with all the necessary clothing and life jackets, as well as a safety brief before you embark in the open safe boat of 6 meter.
After about 1.5-2 hours of fishing, we'll head back to the sea house, a cozy and historic building where we'll prepare the catch together, turning it into a nice meal that will tantalize your taste buds.
You will also get a local apple juice to drink, making the whole tour a sensory experience that engages your taste buds, sense of smell, and love for nature.
At our core, we are committed to using friendly fishing methods that are safe and respectful towards nature, while also focusing on teaching you how to cook the crabs in a humane way.
This tour is not just about catching fish and having a meal - it's an all-encompassing experience that will leave you feeling refreshed and satisfied, local history and culture is a big part of this tour.
