Amazing views
On the top you will get a 360-degree view of the impressive Romsdalshorn, the famous valley of Trollstigen, the center of Åndalsnes and the emerald green river Rauma. You can explore the hiking paths on top to get even more amazing views.
The Romsdalen Gondola is Norway's first and only gondola built on sustainable principles. This means that there are no visible wounds in the terrain, as water, electricity and sewage are hidden inside a pilot hole that has been drilled from the fjord up to the top.
There is no access road to the top of the mountain, which means that the gondola is the only way to transport goods and employees up.
Eggen Restaurant at the top of the mountain is actually built with reversible installations. This means that if a future generation wants to remove or change the building, they can do this without the terrain being affected.
