Tour description
You start this exciting Island hopping adventure by hopping on a local ferry to your first island of the day. And don't worry about getting on the wrong ferry, a guide will meet you and be with you for the duration of your adventure!
The first ferry takes you to Bleikøya, a locals-only island where it is unusual to see tourists. This makes it a great place to get an authentic understanding of island life and enjoy some of the best sea-side views of the city.
Next up is the island of Lindøya, home to some 300 brightly painted traditional wooden cabins separated by flower-covered paths. During summer, Oslo locals may spend a month or longer in this pretty little village! After exploring Lindøya, you hop on the ferry to visit your final island, the historic of Hovedøya.
At Hovedøya, you'll experience the fascinating ruins of a nearly 1000-year-old abbey and 19th-century city ramparts. Your guide will explain the stories behind these landmarks and give you an introduction to the fascinating Norwegian culture. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit to test out the waters of the Oslofjord – an experience not to be missed!
Throughout the day you will get great views of both the city and surrounding nature and you can also make time for a cozy summer picnic. At the end of the tour, you'll catch the ferry from Hovedøya back to the city center, filled with summer memories from the charming Oslo Fjord Islands.
This Island Hopping tour is a perfect way to spend a summer's day in Oslo!
